The family and friends of Kay and Bud Lyons have donated a
Wii gaming system to the library in their memory. You
probably have been hearing reports on the news about how the
Wii is being used in care centers and senior centers. The
demonstration on using the Wii on Wednesday April 16th
during National Library Week proved very successful. All
ages gathered to bowl, golf, play tennis and other sports.
It was a great time of intergenerational social interaction.
Librarties have become important to their communities, not
just to check out books and movies, but as a place for
social interaction and communication.
